WHO WE ARE
ABOUT THE ARCHITECT
Daniel Franus is the President of Franus Architectural Associates, Inc. He is a life-long resident of western Pennsylvania, a graduate of Penn State University, and a Registered Architect with more than 38 years of experience. He has designed and renovated numerous commercial facilities, municipal structures, hospitals, public housing facilities, churches, schools, and private residences -- and that's the short list. He brings a wealth of experience and a conscientious attention to detail to each and every project.
Dan began his career as an Architect working for Pittsburgh-area architectural firms and quickly gained experience in design and project management. He has the unique experience of also having worked for a Contractor/Developer for a number of years. This experience has given him a useful understanding of "value engineering" and "practicality." These are two very important characteristics that factor into his designs to this day.
Thanks to his open communication style, meticulous drawings, and cost estimating, Dan's earned the respect of clients and contractors alike. He's also earned the admiration of the Ellwood City community where he is involved in their local revitalization campaign and serves on many committees. Additionally, he is involved in several other professional organizations, including the architectural organization SARA (Society of American Registered Architects) and is a past president of the local chapter of BNI (Business Network International).
In his spare time, Dan participates in numerous outdoor activities. He enjoys hunting and is an avid car enthusiast. His six grandchildren keep him busy, as well.
Dan's philosophy is simple:
"Great design doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to be great."
