FACES OF FRANUS: Beth Bishop

We want you to get to know our team. So each month, we're going to feature a member of our firm in a blog post. You met Dan Franus, our founder and firm president, in February. You met Steve Paxton, our Project Coordinator, in March. In April we introduced you to our Drafter, Brian Gardner. This month we feature the firm’s Office Manager: Beth Bishop.

Beth Profile

Beth earned a B.S. in Communication from Clarion University. She spent over a decade in Washington, D.C., working for a well-respected higher-education publication. She gained even more professional experience upon her return to western Pennsylvania and was thrilled to bring her knowledge and ideas to Franus Architectural Associates, Inc. in January 2013.

As the Office Manager, Beth is responsible for the day-to-day function of the firm. By moving the office's filing and correspondence to a central database, she has greatly reduced the firm's paper usage. Beth is also responsible for managing the firm's marketing efforts. While the majority of her job is done online and the marketing efforts focus on social media, she still believes in the value of good old-fashioned conversation.

Outside of the office, Beth and her husband are kept busy with two dogs and entrepreneurial ventures. Her obsession with superheroes, a voracious reading habit, a love of writing, and an unhealthy dependency on social media are all satisfied by spending quiet afternoons “porch sitting” with her iPad.
